Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
This policy describes the InvoiceLite subscription offering being introduced. It applies to InvoiceLite subscription fees, not payments between your business and its customers.
Free trial
InvoiceLite offers a 30-day free trial. No payment or card details are required to start the trial. The free trial does not automatically convert into a paid subscription. You must deliberately subscribe to begin paid service. There is no trial charge to cancel simply to avoid an automatic first payment.
Automatic trial expiry is not active yet. The intended future behaviour after an unsubscribed trial is read-only access, with existing data retained.
Paid subscription
InvoiceLite costs R49/month. Once you deliberately subscribe, paid subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Paid subscriptions are not yet available in the application; registration does not authorise a payment.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation prevents future automatic renewals. Full paid access continues until the end of the billing period already paid for. There is no cancellation penalty.
To request cancellation or ask about billing, email support@invoicelite.co.za using your account email and identify the subscription concerned. There is currently no self-service subscription cancellation control. Do not send your password or payment-card details.
Cancelling a subscription does not automatically delete your InvoiceLite account or its business data.
Refunds
Subscription fees are generally not automatically refunded simply because you cancel during an already-paid billing period. Cancellation prevents future renewal.
Please contact InvoiceLite about duplicate charges, incorrect charges, billing errors or other circumstances where you believe a refund is warranted. Include your account email, the charge date and amount, any payment reference and a brief explanation. Do not include passwords or card details.
Refund requests are reviewed based on the circumstances and applicable law. We will communicate the outcome and, where a refund is approved, the processing arrangements. This policy does not promise an automatic refund or set a fixed processing period.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable South African law.
Failed payments
A failed recurring payment may be subject to a grace period while payment is retried or corrected. The intended grace period is 7 days. If payment remains unsuccessful, full create/edit access may be restricted to read-only access.
Payment retries, grace-period enforcement and read-only restrictions are not active yet. Existing account data will not be automatically deleted solely because of a failed subscription payment.
Data after cancellation
Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate processes. Existing business records are not automatically deleted when a subscription is cancelled. The intended future behaviour after the paid period ends is read-only access, with resubscription restoring full create/edit access. These access changes are not currently automated.
There is no self-service account deletion workflow. Contact us separately about account deletion, privacy requests or retrieving your information, and see the Privacy Policy for retention details.
